Airport Dikson (UODD). Dikson Airport (Russian: Аэропорт Диксон) (IATA: DKS, ICAO: UODD) is a small commercial airport in Russia located 5 km (3.1 mi) west of the urban-type settlement of Dikson on a small island.
It accepts AN-3, AN-24, AN-26, AN-32, AN-74, Yak-40 and lighter aircraft, as well as helicopters of all types. Classification Number (PCN) RUNWAY 15/R/A/X/T. The airport serves aircraft operating regular passenger and cargo charter flights, as well as flights to ensure high-latitude expeditions and to protect the state border. It was built in the 1930s, during the period of active development of the northern latitudes.
In 2022, the modular airport building burned down in a fire. A new modular terminal has been operating since 2023. The historic building of the old terminal has also been preserved, but is no longer used for its intended purpose.
