This is a repaint for the FlyingIron Simulations Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6. The repaint depicts Bf 109G-6 'Yellow 1' of the Romanian Royal Air Force (Forțele Aeriene Regale Române—FARR) as flown by Cpt. Av. Alexandru Șerbănescu of the 9th Fighter Group (Grupul 9 Vânătoare) during the summer of 1944 from the Tecuci aerodrome. The aircraft wears on the engine cowling the emblem of the “Dessloch-Șerbănescu” unit which was named as such on June 9th, 1944.

On August 18, 1944, he’s shot down and killed by a P-51 Mustang of 309th FS in the last engagement with the USAAF as Romania entered the armistice with the Allied Forces on August 23, 1944.
