Installation Instructions
NOTE: If you don't need or want the cabin textures, or want to conserve disk space download the No Cabin file. It uses roughly half the hard drive space.
1.) Unzip the alaska_spirit_737.ptp or alaska_spirit_737_no_cabin.ptp file to a folder of your choice.
2.) Open the PMDG Operations Center v2 (OC2) application.
3.) Under the Aircraft and Liveries option on the top menu bar, select Livery Utilities.
4.) On the left side, select Microsoft Flight Simulator under Simulator, PMDG 737-800 under Installed Products, and PMDG 737-800 under Variants / models.
5.) In the bottom left corner of the OC2, click the Install from PTP file button.
6.) Browse to the directory where you unzipped the alaska_spirit_737.ptp or alaska_spirit_737_no_cabin.ptp file.
7.) Open the file, the OC2 will install the repaint into your Community/pmdg-aircraft-738-liveries folder.
8.) If you have any issues with installation, you can contact PMDG support on their forums or their support website https://support.precisionmanuals.com/Main/
9.) For optimal accuracy, makes sure a few options are selected in the FMC equipment page. This should be set automatically upon installation, but in case not make sure the SatCom dome is not
installed, no PIP is selected, and original landing lights (not LED) are selected. If not sure how to do this, please read how to do so in the manual.
History
Alaska Airlines created this livery in 2008 to commemorate their partnership with the Boeing aircraft company, both companies originally based in Seattle. It combines the Boeing house livery paint
scheme along with the Alaska Airlines eskimo on the tail.
This repaint was made with permission from PMDG per their paint kit EULA.
Thanks go to the team at PMDG for creating this excellent aircraft and repaint kit for Microsoft Flight sImulator, and to flightsim.to for hosting this file.
Please message me on flightsim.to if you have any comments or suggestions. Thanks!
