[SU10+ COMPATIBLE] [MODERN/NATIVE] [INTERACTIVE] [FULLY ANIMATED] [4KHD TEXTURES] [WORKING GUNS & SMOKE]
An iconic German WW1 Fighter, made famous by Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen, better known, as the Red Baron.
Fully remastered down to every last detail, this re-release features a compleatly redone 3D model, 4KHD full PBR textures, refactored flight model, sounds and fully re-written modern code that should survive future sim updates. This was designed to minic a replica DR.1 used for airshows. For those wanting to fire the machine guns using their joystick trigger, you will need to bind your trigger to "SET NAV LIGHTS" in the sim.
A massive thank you to my team at GotFriends for their support on this one. New flight model by GotGravel, and entire re-rewrite of code & interactions by Jonx. Model & Textures done by myself with substance paint support and guidence from my mate TwoSeventy.
The original relase also featured a fun Americas 1930 livery that people absolutly adored. This livery was not included with this release due to size constraints but was fully remastered in 8K high definition by TwoSeventy himself! You can grab it here:

Just found this mod these days. Super nice work.
I was a bit surprised that it was so easy to start, fly and also land. But i also got a bit of a trainig with the P51s and Pitts. So maybe that helped 😉

Hey DDM, sorry for the late responce. Smoke should be bound to your flaps key since that was mostly universal for most control setups. Also yes, the trainer livery was designed as a drag and drop directly in your community folder, no need to move it into the aircraft's folder.
Cheers and thanks for the feedback! :)

Amazing plane and it even has a machine gun that you can bind to your trigger! It definitely has the quality of a paid DLC plane!

Absolutely in love with this aircraft, thank you!
One thing though - is there any way to increase gear friction so that it'll eventually slow to a stop on flat asphalt? Right now it seems like it'll just keep rolling forever... last time I tried landing on asphalt, I hit the end of the runway, went full deflection on the rudder pedals and just rolled in circles endlessly until I exited to the main menu.

thank you for the feedback! This is certainly something I can look into when I next visit the DR.1

Thank you for this fine model and keeping it current, well done mate.
And thank you for removing the exhaust vapour that was hurting my eyes. I can now cam back more and enjoy the cockpit and experience of a triplane. The roll rate is close that of a F18 but I can adjust it before each flight, although I do think you should 'dumb' this down to that of a fabric covered, wooden wing.
Also, we need more liveries if we are to have a flying circus. Oh, maybe even a S.E 5a model for dogfights 😊
