🚀 Your flight simulation immersion booster
Software that adds extra realism to your favourite flight simulator. Trigger actions in the simulator directly from your tablet, phone, or web app using switches, buttons, and a virtual knob.
❤️ Why you'll love SimBox?
- FPS friendly
SimBox is fetching data in a way that is not affecting your simulator. We paid strong attention during development to make it as light as possible. - Dual push-pull knob handling
Works well for Airbus and Boeing giving you extra experience. You can use touch virtual knobs or print one with 3D printer (requires additional purchase). - No additional software required
You only use software provided by SimBox - one app that runs on your PC, one app that runs on your mobile device. No additional software - no extra cost. - Open source aircraft configuration
SimBox comes with preconfigured profiles for multiple planes. Can’t find profile of your favourite aircraft? Go ahead - create one and share it with your friends!
🔨 What can you use SimBox for?
- Autopilot
Manage your autopilot. SimBox is preconfigured to map Boeing, Airbus and GA autopilot panels as accurate as possible. - Lights
Need to switch lights quickly? No problem - with SimBox you can do this. No more moving mouse around your virtual cockpit to find that switches while taxing! By default we support Boeing, Airbus and GA light switches. - Radio
Need to switch frequency? No problem! Go ahead and do this on radio panel. Radio supports COM1, COM2 and NAV1 depending on an aircraft you're flying. - Transponder
Got new SQUAWK code? You have to switch to mode C when entering runway? Do this with single click on your physical device. - ... and much more
This is just the start. We'll add new panels in the future (APU, landing gear, etc). Come join us and tell what you need the most :)

Will you support Maddog MD80?
flightsimmer0131
is it required to have that knob thing to change autopilot numbers and radio frequencies?
FlyingArt 2 day(s) ago
No. You can go to "Settings" (gear icon) and click "Enable virtual knob". Then slider will appear and you can just swipe it

Is there anything specific I have to do to activate the connect to sim? because it is not connecting
FlyingArt 3 day(s) ago
Yes - you have to activate the plugin. Follow the instructions described here: https://www.flyingart.dev/simbox/docs/common-issues/no-simulator-connection

Note for the future - I've been in touch with this user during the weekend and this issue is fixed now. This was a rare occurrence experienced by around 2% of users.

Hi,
when will there be a documetation on how to create own profiles?
At the moment this software is not really useful.
Thx
FlyingArt 20 day(s) ago
Hi. I will work on that somewhere around next month. Currently there is a lot of interest in new features. Very few users ask about custom profiles. So my focus goes to new features first. I'll most probably also update profile builder so it'll be easier to create new profiles.

Hi there! Looking into buying the program but I have a DIY version of the knobster and used Propwash Simulation Dual rotary encoder with an Arduino Nano. I don't think it supports those 2 pieces of hardware, correct?
FlyingArt 21 day(s) ago
Hi! Not yet 😞 Support for knobster will land in next update. I'll add support for DIY knobster next month I think.
Kiwi0ne 15 day(s) ago
Right! Thanks!

iOS and Android link would be cool, so you can command your AP from anywhere, or with ease without having to sit at desk?! 😀
FlyingArt 22 day(s) ago
Hi ! It works like that right now 😀 As long as you are in the same network of course

So it has retract light switch. This only toggles the landing lights on my PMDG 737. Is there a way to toggle all 4 switches for the older landing light configs? Thanks!
FlyingArt 24 day(s) ago
Hi, currently not. But it's just a profile update needed. I'll try to add this to profile configuration in next update. Thx!
Fly2High94 24 day(s) ago
Thank you. I'm really liking the product! Keep it up!

Doesn’t even allowed me to use the demo with the Fenix mcdu, everything is connected and after 10 seconds on my tablet says “not connected” and in the app says it’s connected to the simulator.
FlyingArt 27 day(s) ago
Hi, maybe try this steps: https://www.flyingart.dev/simbox/docs/common-issues/no-connection
UnitedPilot
Is this compatible with the Vision Jet Autopilot and comms?
FlyingArt 24 day(s) ago
It can interact with those using default sim profile. This won't be accurate as PMDG or FBW profile thought.

Hi, will this software work with the original Knobster out of the box?
FlyingArt 1 month(s) ago

How to create a new configuration please I can't find the tutorial at all
FlyingArt 1 month(s) ago
Hi!
It's not yet documented. The easiest way for now is to copy existing config in profiles editor and update SimVars.
Number of things that can be added is increasing, I'll make a tutorial once it's fully ready.
In the meantime - please contact me via mail or discord so I can help you with your profile 😊

After latest update, I am getting JavaScript Error when enabling FMC screen in PMDG 737. I started SimBox Control in Admin Mode.
FlyingArt 1 month(s) ago
Hi, so that happens only when you enable screen, right? Can u please send me error details in private or on [email protected] ?
sdaztec25 1 month(s) ago
That is correct, sent you screen shot via email and discord.

the app won't connect with the simulator....what am I missing?
FlyingArt 2 month(s) ago
Hi, did you install and enable plugin? Follow the docs: https://www.flyingart.dev/simbox/docs/software/simbox-control/plugins
chrispr 2 month(s) ago
fixed....all I was missing was to activate the plug in on the sim. Thanks for the quick reply!
FlyingArt 2 month(s) ago
Great ! Enjoy 😊

I bought this without fully reading through everything... I wanted a UI where I could input radio frequencies via a keypad or just use the keyboard on my ipad. This app only lets you toggle active frequency unless you have their 3D printed knob then you can change frequencies.
Why not use the same virtual rotary knob in the autopilot section for the radio at least?
UPDATE: Thanks to the responses I was able to find the virtual knob setting was not aware you have to activate it first as a setting. I am much happier with the product knowing I can change radio frequencies much easier now.
FlyingArt 2 month(s) ago
Hi!
It is possible to change stby frequencies using virtual knob. I don’t know why you can’t see that option. Contact me in private if issue still occurs, we’ll try to figure it out
sdaztec25 2 month(s) ago
With virtual knobs enabled, you need to scroll up and down on the sides of the boxes.

Any plans for Fenix Support and CRJ? I fly those often.
FlyingArt 2 month(s) ago
Yes. It’s a bit more complicated due to licensing
aileroN_Daniel 1 month(s) ago
Let me know when it works for the Fenix. Then I will buy this software. 👍

Hi, I’ll check shopping list and fix it. You can always search that components by name - there is a lot of them on Amazon or AliExpress
Laurreth
Does this support setting minimums in the PMDG 737 instead of turning the knob for five minutes?
FlyingArt 2 month(s) ago
Currently not. For now, the main goal is to handle activities that require a lot of attention in a short time - like turning on the APU, turning off the landing lights, switching to STBY mode of the transponder after vacating the runway.
Minimum values are set once per flight. But I think I'll add it anyway in the future 😊
Laurreth 2 month(s) ago
Anything that can set up for SLLP in less than 5 minutes 😉
