This is a modification of the glass texture of the windows for the NextGen Embraer 110 Bandeirante.
I was sick of the many visible scratches and fingerprints on the windshield under some light conditions and simply removed them from the texture.
Unfortunately I am not able to make a working easy "copy to community folder mod" and you have to do it manually. Maybe someone else can do it to ease the process...
Installation:
Download and unzip the file somewhere comfortable.
1) Find the aircraft folder inside your FS2020 installation
If you bought it from the store it is located in drive://FS2020/Packages/Official/nextgensim-aircraft-bandeirante
If you bought it outside the store it is located in drive://FS2020/Packages/Community/nextgensim-aircraft-bandeirante
2) Open the folder and navigate to SimObjects/Airplanes/
There you will find the three types of aircraft available.
YOU HAVE TO CHANGE IT FOR EVERY AIRCRAFT YOU WANT MANUALLY!
3) Open the folder NextGen_EMB110P
a) open the folder texture.common and make a safecopy of the file NX_E110X_GLASS_DETAILMAP_MASK.PNG.DDS to revert the process later if wanted/needed.
b) copy the downloaded file NX_E110X_GLASS_DETAILMAP_MASK.PNG.DDS and paste it inside the texture.common folder. Overwrite when prompted.
4) Go back and open the folder NextGen_EMB110P1
copy the downloaded file NX_E110X_GLASS_DETAILMAP_MASK.PNG.DDS and paste it inside the texture.common folder. Overwrite when prompted.
5) Go back and open the folder NextGen_EMB110P1Freight
copy the downloaded file NX_E110X_GLASS_DETAILMAP_MASK.PNG.DDS and paste it inside the texture.common folder. Overwrite when prompted.
6) Done. Enjoy the nice view outside the windows of your cockpit!
Unistallation:
Follow the steps 1 and 2. Copy the safed file from step 3a and paste it to the folders outlined in step 3b, 4 and 5.
Nice idea, just checked and h145's glass is looooooking very similar to that file. (Incredibly annoying isn't it? Try Night VFR lol ) Creating a mod folder is so easy actually; I will send you tomorrow :3
