This is a multiple livery pack for GotGravel's Savage Obstruction. These are the same textures as found in my Grravel livery pack and repackaged for the Obstruction. See my Savage Grravel Pack Page for more screenshots and info.  Both Mount 'N Ride and the Red Baron liveries are fictional but were heavily inspired by two real airplanes. Unzip to community folder and fly!

Mount 'N Ride

An aluminum paneled "warbird" that has obviously spent some time in the bush. It sports the "Mount 'N Ride" nose art originally painted on the brand-new B-17G 42-31585 OR-B of the 91st Bomb Group, 323rd Bomb Squadron led by Lt. Col Bishop.

The crew began their tour in October 1943. Mount ‘N Ride would be their third B-17 in four missions. Their 13th and final mission took place on March 1944. While heading for Augsburg, they lost two engines from enemy fire and had to drop out of formation. With the help of a couple P-38’s, they were able to nurse Mount ‘N Ride to Switzerland where the crew was interned for the rest of the war. Overall, the crew had 6 confirmed fighter kills.

I added POW MIA emblem on the right tail section of this livery to commemorate all of the brave souls who flew machines over German and never made it home.

Knows Issues/Bugs

I could not get a satisfactory result for most of the normal maps (yet) so they are default. You’ll notice this on the wings.

Paneling is not quite realistic, too few rivets, panels do not overlap, and the panel seams are a smidge large. I think it still looks really cool though.

Red Baron

This livery really needs no introduction. This was also a very fun and interesting livery to make and research.

Most of us are familiar with the Fokker Dr. I tri-plane painted in blood red that Manfred von Richthofen, “The Red Baron” flew later in his career. Only 19 of his 80 kills were made in this plane and it would eventually be the plane he would be killed in. The majority of his kills were made while flying the Albatross D.II.

Finding the “right” red was the most challenging. Turns out, he had several aircraft, some red and some not and out of the red ones, they were apparently not all the same red nor carried the same paint scheme. I chose a flavor of Vermillion Red as that is what was mentioned in his autobiography.

This livery was meant to look newer while staying away from that “showroom” look. I played with adding wood in the cockpit as all of these airplanes were build almost completely from wood but I have not landed on a satisfactory result quite yet.

I did give the prop a wood texture, despite the fact that the Grravel engine is likely far too powerful for wooden props.

Coyote Ugly

This is the Coyote Ugly Savage Cub livery as flown by Joe Pops Dory.

I am still waiting on more precice color info. If I get that, I will update the colors accordingly. I may have missed details (big or small) from the photos. If you see something, drop it in the comments or find me on GotGravel's Discord

Thank's to Dreadnaught and johnwallaby69 for providing info and references.

I hope you enjoy these liveries and I always welcome comments and constructive feedback.
