Lets Fly To: Hawaii
Maui: The Valley Isle
Welcome to Paradise! Today's flight will take us to Maui. Also known as “The Valley Isle”. It's the second largest of the Hawaiian Islands and is one of the most visited. Known for its world-famous beaches, surfing hot-spots and the sacred Iao Valley. It excels with natural beauty. From views of migrating humpback whales during winter months and giant waves that challenge the worlds best athletes. To seeing the magnificent sunrise and sunset from the crater rim of the volcano, Haleakala. Maui has so much to discover.
The Road to Hana is one of the most popular destinations for anyone visiting the island. And the west coast has one of the best tourism areas at historic Lahaina. And then there's the world class golf courses at Kapulua and Kaanapali that have some of the best views and hole designs anywhere. It’s not surprising that Maui has been voted "Best Island in the U.S. by Condé Nast Traveler readers for more than 20 years in a row. Maui No Ka Oi. It means Maui is the Best. Let's go fly over the valley isle.
Flight Plan: PHKO - PHHN - PHOG - PHJH

This flight uses the default Cessna 208 Caravan. You will have GPS autopilot capabilities, weather choices, refueling, VFR map, ATC and other assists to use if you wish. The GPS flightplan is already loaded inside the computer so all you have to do is start up and begin your flight. You will need to shut off your engine and set your parking brake once you land and park the aircraft at any stopping points along the way. See the readme.txt file for more information before departure.
The "Let's Fly To" series of trips are custom flight adventures created by Brad Allen for use in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Extensive time is spent building the flight plan and then doing research for interesting information to help tell a story that can give the user an appreciation for the places visited along the way. This helps create a unique experience not found in other bush trips that are available. At least not up to my standards.

BOY oh BOY OH boy . With this MSFS2020 and with these "Bush Trips" it's one confusing, crazy .unexplainable thing after the other.
So in this one completed Leg 1 ok. Got the check mark. Continued with Leg 2. Landed at PHOG ,found a parking spot . Shut EVERYTHING down .(battery; lights; avionics Etc . Etc .Etc. Set parking brake. Could not get the completion of leg and check mark to trigger. Even restarted ,tried a couple of different landing spots , No Joy on the leg completion. So took off started to follow route with the GPS-Nav, (Over stressed engine) Restarted again . Lost what was in the Nav log , But GPS line was still there in the VFR , So let AP-Nav fly the route for me . Could hear the narrator talking and explaining the POI's as I passed them. Completed Leg 3 , Landed and shut down .Parking brake set Etc.
But of coarse no completion of leg ,
Not sure why I couldn't get a check to trigger at end of Leg 2

I would go in to the files inside the simulator where the save files are located. I use the Microsoft Store edition of the simulation. Your directory may be different if you use Steam or Xbox.
For me, to Delete the folder that has the current save file for this bush trip. I go to C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\MISSIONS\ACTIVITIES
Then locate the folder for the Maui Discovery Flight and delete that.
Once you've removed the old save point. You have to start the trip all over again. When you arrive at the different locations, the best thing to do that I found that works, is to stop in the middle of the runway and at that spot, set the parking brake, shut down all systems there. Lights, Engines, battery switches and all avionics.
You should get a leg complete trigger.
I tested out this trip and verified that will work for all legs.
Sorry, you're going to have to start again but it's been hit or miss with bush trips for several world and sim updates and everybody is finding these issues at times.
Keep trying and thanks for flying my bush trip. I hope it works out.

Hello!!
Once you've downloaded the archive.
Unzip it and open it up on your computer.
You should see a separate folder.
It's named: Maui Discovery Flight v1_1_VYeZt
Double Click on that folder
Now you see a second folder
It's named: Maui Discovery Flight v1_1
Double Click on that folder
Now you get to the main folder you need
It's named: Fly-Maui-Mission
Just move that folder with all the actual content into your community folder for the simulator.
That's it. Sorry for the long winded reply. And its the last part that can be tricky. Based on if you're using the Microsoft Store version of the simulator or the Steam version. The location of the actual community folder can be hard to find.
I suggest this tool for the simulator that can be found here on Flightsim.to
It's named: MSFS Addons Linker
https://flightsim.to/file/1572/msfs-addons-linker
Makes the process very simple once you know where the community folder is located.
Enjoy the Maui Discovery flight I did and I hope you've tried out my other trips too.

I downloaded the first version here. Loaded it into MSFS and it was visible and able to be started in the Bush Trips area of the User Interface of MSFS. I was able to then select the bush trip and it started for me from the beginning.
But I went ahead and repacked the archive and repeated the process to see if it also shows up in the sim and starts up. It did so I am confident it will for you as well.
Remember to only put the folder that includes the actual Content Info, Mission, .json files, etc. into your community folder.
Do NOT just unzip and load that first folder that unzips in the archive into your community folder. That is what keeps the file from being visible.
After you unzip the downloaded file. Click on the folders until you get to the lower folder named: Fly-Maui-Mission
You should only move the folder that is inside the unzipped archive named: Fly-Maui-Mission into your community folder.
Double check Inside that folder and make sure you find the content folders named: ContentInfo and Missions.
There are also nine lokpak files and two .json files.
If you do see the above content then you should be good to go once that main folder named Fly-Maui-Mission and the included content is inside your community folder.
If not, please let me know.
Thanks for your interest and I hope you enjoy the trip,
Brad
