A livery pack for the DC Designs PT-17 Stearman heavily inspired by the paintjobs seen on the various iconic biplanes throughout the Sonic the Hedgehog series, including the one from the movie Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
The DC Designs PT-17 Stearman is a hard requirement for this package, and isn't included for obvious reasons.
I highly recommend buying the base aircraft, be it from the In-Game Marketplace or other certified vendors online. I bought mine from JustFlight a long while back, and have been enjoying it greatly ever since. This good old bird deserves the praise, DC Designs really did well with it!
Installation is quick and easy, just extract the files using 7zip or whichever unzipping tool you like, place the content package into your Community folder, and start up the game. You should be able to find the liveries under both variants of the Stearman, giving you a choice in how fast you gotta go.
The variant with the fairings and cowling is the real star of the show here, as it has an uprated engine and extended fuel capacity. With practice, you'll be taking off, looping the loops, doing barrel rolls and more. It's a blast!
While this paintjob collection is indeed based on fictional / video-game / movie-related liveries, it may bring great nostalgic vibes to flight simmers, Sonic fans, and many more in between! Whether you're a gaming veteran looking for a fun plane to try flying and want to look way past cool doing so, or an armchair aviator looking or a simple and stylish livery set to play with, this package has you covered.
Originally, I set out to recreate the Tornado-themed Stearman from the second Sonic Movie, but have expanded the package to include liveries from other games and appearances that the Tornado has made. The latest additions are the red/yellow Tornado 1 and blue/yellow Tornado 2 from Sonic Adventure 1, harkening back to the SEGA Dreamcast games of yesteryear.
I would like to thank DC Designs for providing a great paintkit, SEGA and Paramount for the fun games and movies that inspired me to make this, and YOU for downloading, trying out, and enjoying this livery!
Feel free to message me here, be it for ways I can improve the livery or other constructive commentary!
That said.. Enjoy!

Great to see a nice livery for the cowled, more powerful version of the Stearman. Thank you!
